Homeless or at risk of homelessness

Homelessness prevention services are available to anyone who is considered to be at risk of homelessness within 56 days or actually considered to be homeless. This service is provided by the Council under the provisions of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014. The options available will vary based upon individual circumstances. Services can include:

  • advice, information and guidance on your housing options
  • possible financial help and/or guidance  to either maintain or find accommodation
  • practical help and assistance with finding private rented housing
  • referrals to other agencies for further assistance (for example – independent legal advice)
  • mediation services
  • provision of support services where appropriate

Whatever your circumstances you can be advised of the options available to you and will be provided with clear help, assistance and guidance on what can be done to help you to resolve your housing difficulties.
